29 Sep Santa Catharina and Rio Grande do Sul in the south of Brazil
The states of Santa Catharina and Rio Grande do Sul do not correspond at all to the clichés of Brazil. Many immigrants from Germany, Austria and Switzerland maintain their traditions here. This can be seen in everything especially in the architecture and in the food offered here. A cheese and ham selection like at our place. Raclette and fondue can be found on many menus. The small town of Blumenau, with the second largest Oktoberfest in the world, a6> Earth doesn’t sound particularly “Brazilian”. And the temperatures are also not. In winter, there is even supposed to be snow again.
Grimado, an imitation and somewhat kitschy Alpine village in Brazil? Perhaps, but the Father Christmas in the background was really funny and the raclette was mega delicious.
